Last November 2020, M Lhuillier, through the OPEC Batangan team led by OPEC President Charity Baet, conducted the “Better Eyes for Better Life” program. The two-part event’s aim was to promote the importance of eyesight and good vision to the residents of Barangay Anastacia, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
On November 4, a total of 50 Batangueños were able to have a free eye checkup and examination for their complete set of prescription eyeglasses, which were suited for their specific vision problems.
On the 14th, M Lhuillier and OPEC Batangan once again visited the barangay to hand out and properly fit the new eyeglasses.
Aside from that, the team also held a symposium to enlighten the community about how to take better care of their eyes. The guest speaker, ophthalmologist Dr. Romeo Briones Bayer, shared his knowledge and tips to the attendees.
