M Lhuillier retells its commitment of service for Filipinos through artistry and dedication shown in its award-winning float.
Sinulog Festival 2020
The M Lhuillier float once again won and bagged third place in the Sinulog Grand Parade 2020 but this time with its “Life of the Abyss” float. With a giant lionfish as the center of the colorful aquatic display, the intricate rendition of the underwater world wowed locals and tourists alike. The image of Senior Santo Niño was placed amidst different sea species such as the ever calm jellyfish, magnificent seahorses, the almost endangered sea turtles and ethereal corals. The presence of Jericho Rosales and his son Santino Rosales caused excitement and adoration from the crowd. Staff and volunteers donned with their jellyfish hats steadily held the ropes to secure the float and celebrities on board while gracefully swaying to the Sinulog beat. Attended by millions, the worldwide popularity of the Sinulog Festival is considered the grandest festival in the entire Philippines as it celebrates the rich history of a pagan past and recounts the introduction of Christianity. M Lhuillier encourages everyone to praise Senior Santo Niño by dancing to the Sinulog beat and shouting from one’s hearts “Viva Pit Senyor!”
DINAGYANG FESTIVAL 2020
M Lhuillier’s eye-catching underwater-themed float named “Life of the Abyss” won the first runner-up spot in Dinagyang Festival’s Float Parade of Lights. The underwater concept was deeply inspired by the wide reach of services provided by M Lhuillier. Not just in the Philippines but also for other nearby countries. The idea behind the variety of fishes was to represent all Filipino customers in different walks of life. According to ML float artist Panjie Pangilinan, the team gave attention to every bit of detail like the small fishes. They believed that these creatures despite their sizes still play an important role and give significance under the sea. And that is how M Lhuillier shows the commitment of service and value to everyone. The Dinagyang Festival is considered the most anticipated event in Iloilo City. The festival is popular for its rich heritage and strong faith and adoration to Senior Santo Niño. M Lhuillier uplifts the faith of the people to Senior Santo Niño by merrily dancing with the drumbeat and shouting “Hala Bira Iloilo!” with glee.
