M Lhuillier Sustains the Needs of the Community by Conducting Livelihood Programs

Before the month of August ended last year, a livelihood program was raised for those who stay at home without some source of income, especially the housewives. It aims to assist the sector by teaching them how to make foods such as siomai, embutido, tapa, and tocino so that they can start their own food business. Participants not only learned a new technology but also received some souvenir items consisting of a tote bag, ballpen, pencil holder, towel, and dried mango. The said program's funding came from our year-round coin bank project, initiated by M Lhuillier. 

The fishermen from Brgy. Poblacion, Albuera, Leyte were also supported through the "Pukot mo, Panginabuhi ko" project, where several fishing gears were handed to the fisherfolk and training programs for fish preservation were conducted. 

The effect of the pandemic has never ceased until today, causing the majority of Filipino sufferers financial instability and a lack of resources for even small businesses, which is enough to sustain daily needs. With this, M Lhuillier initiated the "Spicy Spanish Sardines Making" activity, where twenty-five (25) women's association members in Barangay Lupoken, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat were taught how to make spicy Spanish sardines.
