“We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility. It’s easy to say, ‘It’s not my child, not my world, not my community, not my problem.’ Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.”
~ Fred Rogers

For the public schools nationwide, Balik Eskwela 2017 was marked on the 5th day of June, 2017. And as anticipated, M Lhuillier Philippines was never passive in taking active contributions in such events that will benefit the hope of our nation. Hence, Marizon OPEC Officers planned, organized and conducted its 2017 Balik-Eskwela Projects with a theme “Handog ni ML sa Estudyante N’yo!”

These worthwhile projects were held on July 14, July 18 and July 25 of the school year 2017-2018. The recipient schools were Castañas Elementary School, Sariaya Elementary School, Alabat Central Elementary School and Banot Elementary School & Allpay Elementary School with a total of 500 Grade One pupil-beneficiaries who were all from public elementary schools. These young would-be heroes of their respective communities were given school supplies like bag, notebooks pencil, pencil case and hand towel that would be there initial weapons towards becoming better Filipino individuals.

The success of the projects initiated by the Marizon OPEC Officers would not be realized without the cooperation and unity of the school administrators, the local government units, parents-teachers associations and other stakeholders who expressed willingness to respond to the needs of these young learners ~ thus, KUDOS to all who made these projects achieved their sound and audacious triumphs.

Schools: Castañas Elementary School, Sariaya Elementary School, Alabat Central Elementary School, Banot Elementary School
