“Education is simply the soul of a society as it passes from one generation to another”.
-G.K. Chesterton

It was another day of sharing for the entire M. Lhuillier community on December 22, 2016 as Handog Pasasalamatni ‘M’ was brought to the LayongMabilog Elementary School in Maragondon, Cavite.
The long-running educational outreach program has handed over innumerable benefit to the nation’s public primary schools most of which are wanting in basic facilities and fixtures.
The OPEC Kalayaan handed over during simple turn-over ceremonies at the school its donation of construction materials such as sand, hollow blocks, G. I. sheets, steel and gravel for its school canteen.  The team also donated computers, printers, ceiling fans and a stand fan.

The pupils were given ML backpacks packed with notebooks, pencils, pencil cases and company flyers.
The students were in their element as they entertained their magnanimous visitors and the rest of the audience with a well-rehearsed dance routine.  Their parents prepared a sumptuous meal partaken of by the ML staff at the close of the ceremony.

The event proved one primordial principle, i.e. the best way to engender hope is to get up and do something, not wait for good things to happen where they are direly needed; where those who have go out and make some good things happen, a light of hope is lit and happiness comes to both giver and receiver.
